She is married to famous artist Jayz and is the mother of Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir.
Beyoncé is liked for many reasons. She is a great singer, she is a great representation for the black community, and she is even an amazing actress. Beyoncé being a great singer is no surprise, she is mostly known for her amazing music and her recognizable voice. However, her being an amazing singer isn’t just an opinion, it’s a fact. Vocal coach Zoe Stibi helps prove this claim when in her vocal analysis video on youtube she states “This woman can really, really sing. And we know that she has a well trained voice. And I’m gonna be showing you exactly how she is using her body to support the sound.” This shows that even professionals are able to admire her and notice how well she sings and the amount of effort she puts into her singing.
Another amazing thing about Beyoncé is she is great representation for black women. Beyoncé has experimented with many genres and styles of music, breaking the norms and limitations that are often set for women of her color. Country music is known to be an overall white dominated music genre despite having black roots. Beyoncé still chose to tap into country music despite it being different from her usual style and according to the Grammy awards official website it states “Earlier this year she became the first black woman to top Billboard’s hot country songs with ‘Texas Hold Em,’ the lead single from her forthcoming album, Cowboy Carter.” This shows how Beyoncé is changing the narrative for her people and being a representative for black music in genres where they usually go unrecognized.
A final unique thing about Beyoncé is she is able to tap into multiple different careers, like acting. Beyoncé acted in the movie Obsessed, 2009, where she played the wife of Derek (played by Idris Elba.) Although the movie overall had mixed feelings with critics saying it was predictable, critics still praised Beyoncé’s acting skills. The Los Angeles Times stated they were impressed the singer was able to play the role of a protective wife and even described her performance as “saucy.” This shows even professional critics admired Beyoncé’s versatility of being both a singer and good actress.
Beyoncé has proven to be one of the greatest artists of this generation. She is more than a famous singer, she has amazing vocals, she can act, and she serves as an amazing influence and representation for the black community. I believe people should listen to her music because it can fit multiple moods.
