Working on ourselves during quarantine

A lot of people may hate going home during the pandemic, but I say otherwise. Why? You may be thinking, “Well, think about it, would you rather be taking the train and walking for 20-30 minutes out in the harsh environment to go to school, or would you rather stay at home eat, shower, live life while going to school on a laptop?” This is your chance to have an easy path. Although you might not like staying at home, you forget that there are many opportunities open to you there.
People complain about not being able to get their work done, but I don’t believe that. You are at home and school ends way earlier than it did before, so how is it possible that you can’t get your work done? Again, make the most of the time you have. Maintain good grades and once you complete the work you have just sit back, relax and see how high your grades rise. Use quarantine to your advantage instead of complaining! You’ll see how you can accomplish so much once you start trying. Yes, the school year is odd, but you shouldn’t let that distract you from doing well and trying your hardest.

I’ve been giving it some thought and I am very conflicted when I see that my high school life is almost over. It’s about time to go to college, and I’m fine with that, but I’m not fully sure about what I want to be. I’ve always had a few vague ideas but they haven’t been anything I have felt confident about. The only occupation I can really say I could see myself doing is owning my own company.
I could potentially be interested in owning my own company because I’d rather be my own boss. I’ve been inspired ever since I learned who Bill Gates was. I used to hear, “Oh he’s the richest man in the world,” but that’s not what made me interested in him — it was his backstory and what he did to become who he is that makes him my inspiration. I have always thought, “why not study something easier in college?” This is because I’m afraid of starting a company and losing it all. Becoming a CEO is hard itself, but owning a company makes everything harder. You could lose it all in just a day if you’re not careful, but you need to take risks because that’s what’s going to help you. Again, I’m not sure it’s what I want to do but it’s a possibility.

Do you ever think about what life is going to look like after quarantine? Maybe it’s just me, but I notice that as I continue to sit in my house I am changing a lot. I am paying more attention to those around me and I am building my character as I go. Something I feel like many people should do while they are still in lockdown is work on themselves. Whether that’s changing your appearance, changing your mental state or figuring out who you are. If you ever feel lost, hopeless or frustrated at life then that means you need to do some work on yourself.
Do more of the things you like; learn more about who you are! To heal, first you have to enlighten yourself and open up your eyes to the world. You need to make sure that when you come out of lockdown you will be prepared to overcome any obstacles you may face!
Stop being mad at life! At the end of the day, we only have one life to live whether there’s an afterlife or not. Make this life something you are proud of. Make memories that you can cherish when looking back.
