Holland Tech Vignette: Episode 3

On January 30th, 2024 it felt like a normal day, but then everybody heard the lockdown bell go off and all the teachers were yelling to get all the kids that were in the hallway into a classroom for their safety.
There was a girl named Susan who had problems with a girl named Amy who was tall and light-skinned and had glasses. Susan only came to the school for two days before everything went down. Before this, Susan asked me if I knew who Amy was and what grade she was in and I said “No, I don’t know who that is.” She left it alone for a day and didn’t say anything else about it.
On the day of the lockdown, everybody was confused and didn’t know what was going on until everyone started saying “Oh my god” and pointing out the window. What we saw were lots of cops outside and a girl who was in handcuffs but we couldn’t really see her face because they had something over her head. I was just shocked that this was happening. Everybody was just shocked and confused because we saw an ambulance and some other girl on a stretcher. We started adding things up and concluded someone had gotten hurt.
The day after the day we had a meeting with all of the eighth graders and learned it was a stabbing. All the teachers were upset and felt like they weren’t doing enough for the kids’ safety and much more because this wasn’t the first time something bad had happened. After the meeting, a girl named Jennifer, one of Susan’s friends, came up to me and some of my friends and gave us a little run down on what really happened.
Jennifer said that “she was really scared and didn’t want to get stabbed next because a lot was going on.” The next day after the meeting everybody kind of forgot about it and stopped talking about it. It was just a normal day for all of us and we moved on.
Watch who you are beefing with. They can have anything on them for their safety but bad for yours.
