Boston Student Advisory Council to Host Women’s History Month Event on April 5
In honor of Women’s History Month, the Boston Student Advisory Council (BSAC) is hosting a special event on April 5th from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Thelma D. Burns Building (575 Warren St, Boston, MA 02121). Open to students, teachers, and community members, the event will celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of women throughout history and today.
This gathering aims to create a space where attendees can reflect on the impact of women’s leadership, share experiences, and inspire the next generation. The event will feature guest speakers, including Masika Gadson, the Director of Community Engagement at Boston Public Schools, as well as discussions on the challenges and triumphs women face in various fields.
In addition to engaging conversations, attendees can explore interactive displays highlighting historical figures who played a crucial role in advancing women’s rights. The event will also showcase achievements in science, math, art, and culture—fields where women have made significant contributions despite systemic barriers.
BSAC hopes to foster an atmosphere of learning, connection, and empowerment. Whether you’re looking to learn more about women’s history, engage in meaningful dialogue, or simply celebrate the contributions of women, this event is an opportunity to come together in solidarity
