When I think of my siblings…
When I think of my siblings, I think of my older sister always being there and protecting me and my brother. She is always inviting, no matter who you are — someone who will make you laugh even when you are crying on your bedroom floor.
When I think of my younger brother I laugh at all the ways we entertained ourselves when we were young, which, most of the time, included sliding down our stairs in sleeping bags and only ever seemed to hurt me. I think of someone who is passionate about what he believes in, the person I am closest in the world to, and someone always up for any adventure.
When I think of my siblings I think about blanket forts, almost burning down our house while cooking, the millions of songs we sing at the top of our lungs on road trips and all our late nights sleepovers in the living room. I hope that the three of us will only get closer as we get older, and that we’ll continue to always make each other laugh and feel loved.
