Upgrade your fashion
Maybe it is just me, but I always have to plan what to wear the next day. Do you? I’m sure that as you grow up you will probably think about your appearance more. If you love yourself, then you will probably want to look good every day. Why don’t we walk through some tips that can help you choose your aesthetic or figure out where to find fashion influences.
Find your Aesthetic
Fashionista
This style requires a lot of research about fashion and means the person is not afraid to try new things. People that have this style are usually stylists or celebrities that have a special taste, like Lady Gaga. You can find this style during fashion week on the runway.
Streetwear
This is a mix between hip-hop culture and skater style. People that follow this style are tempted to wear comfortable yet trendy clothing. Clothes that you will find in this style include joggers, oversized pieces, and dark clothes.
Dark academia
This style revolves around classic literature, the pursuit of self-discovery, and a general passion for knowledge and learning. Clothes that define this style include blazers, vests, and trousers.
Girly
This is common in Korean culture, something cute, pure, and innocent. Girls that follow this style are tempted to wear skirts and dresses. Places you will find this style include Korea, Vietnam, and Japan.
Unique
Since there are a lot of different styles out there, there are still some styles that really caught my attention like Lolita, Hanfu, and Goth.

Occasions
Okay, let’s talk about how we all have that one friend that always wears the same outfit for every occasion or event. Well, you don’t want to look like you do at home during a party. Let me list out some occasions that you might be in, and how to dress for them.
Party
This is when you will be able to go from a white innocent fox into a nine-tailed fox. Wear something that would catch others’ attention because you don’t want to be invisible during parties so have something bright or something that will sparkle.
A brand’s private party
This is where you get to meet designers, so try to wear something that catches their attention. Different brands have their own concepts or a signature piece, so you should do some research. For Chanel, wear something that relates to tweed. For Gucci, wear a scarf.
Dates
I suggest that you go with a sweet look. A white dress would be a perfect choice because it will make you look like an angel or a pure bunny.
Back to school
Wear something that follows the 60-40 guideline, which is 40% comfortable and 60% fashionable.
Hanging out with friends
Since it’s your friends you can be as comfortable as you want, but you still want to look good. If there is a specific style that your friends wear, then try to talk to each other and figure out how to match.
Which Brand?
Thinking about whether you should upgrade your closet or keep it the same is a hard decision. We all want to look like those celebrities that carry high brands, but our wallets might not approve. I suggest that you purchase something affordable for your pocket. For example, if you earn $500 per month then you might want to only spend on something that is less than $100 a piece. The goal is to wear something that you can afford, but still, be able to make those pieces look stunning. We want to wear something that is $50 but looks like it’s $500.
For high brands such as Chanel and Louis Vuitton, one trick while wearing designer clothes and wanting to flex is to mix that one piece with normal clothes. So, like a plain dress with a Louis Vuitton crossover body bag. By wearing that, that piece will be able to catch others’ attention and make it less complex.
Hopefully this advice will help you the next time you are looking for an outfit to wear!
