Top five reasons to watch Stranger Things
Have you ever wondered “hmm, what shall I watch on Netflix today” and just begin scrolling endlessly because everything looks boring or it has been seen before, yeah? Well me too. That shall happen no more. Here you will read and find not only a good show to watch but reasons why you should watch it.
1. Stranger Things is an attention grabber
“Stranger Things” is a show that starts as soon as you take your seat, then just like that, you’re hooked. The first 20 seconds of “Stranger Things” give you a mix of spookiness and wonder that has you on the edge of your seat wondering what just happened. It’s one of those shows that when you have something to do you pause it, so you don’t miss a single second; it’s just that good.
2. It has a great soundtrack
You may be thinking why is this a reason to watch a show? Well, what’s a show without good background music? Who doesn’t appreciate classic music from Metallica and The Clash? I strongly suggest you listen to “Should I stay or should I go” by The Clash. A masterpiece and it truly helps make this show that much better.
3. You learn valuable life lessons
Not only will you get a great watch out of the show, but also some really wise words from some of the characters and these wise words are actually useful and very helpful in life. And I’m not talking about the infamous ones like “friends.. don’t .. LIE.” I mean ones like don’t abandon your friends. I gotta say Nancy (a character in the show) learned that the hard way when she left her supposed best friend Barb by herself while intoxicated to kiss some boy. Shame on her. Another one is “you shouldn’t like things because people tell you to.” I know take a moment to take it in and say “thank you” to Jonathan Byers for such inspirational words. He was basically saying don’t try to force yourself to like something because everyone else does be your own person even if it makes you “the freak” or a weirdo. LET YOUR FREAK FLAGS FLY.
4.) The show has great science experiments you can do
Sensory deprivation like hello? And if you’re unfamiliar with sensory deprivation it’s when you are totally at ease and experiencing something out of this world. Yes, you can go to the beach but what if you bought it to you through your mind or through one of your favorite memories? A sensory deprivation tank is a dark tank filled with salt water designed by John c. Lilly. He designed this to study our consciousness. Not only is this a dope science experiment to try out but it is scientifically proven that it helps relieve pain and anxiety and better sleep; something we all need every now and then.
5.) Stranger things is a binge-worthy show
Who wants to go around and watch a boring show or anime that takes two seasons with tons of filler to get to the point? No one. When watching “Stranger Things” it’s impossible to just sit and wait for something anticlimactic to happen because of how enigmatic it is. You just need to know what happens next. Not only will you be getting that puzzling feeling, but for my older audience, you’ll get a whiff of that 80s nostalgia, like how great is that? Reminiscing on the good days, while watching a small little town’s secrets unfold; pure greatness.
