Blue Frog Bakery

Looking for something more than Dunkin or Starbucks? You should check out these cafes and bakeries in Boston!

There is a Dunkin on almost every corner of this city. It’s not hard to settle for a quick and cheap option: but if you find yourself with some free time this summer, crave quality and want to have an eating experience that doesn’t just have excellent food but an outstanding setting that leaves an impression on you, then I urge you to visit one of these five. Trust me, you will not regret it.

L.A Burdick, Boston

Established in 1987, L.A Burdick is a Cafe that sells homemade chocolate, pastries, and drinks. My favorite thing they serve is French hot chocolate. This drink changed my standards for hot coco. It has a thick, rich texture and a strong but not overwhelming coco flavor that will melt your soul. But honestly, anything you choose from there will melt your soul. The wonderful food combined with the beautiful interior will leave a warm impression on you.

220 Clarendon Street, Boston, MA

Cafe Darq, Boston

Cafe Darq is a lovely cafe located in Chinatown. They offer drinks like boba tea, smoothies and coffee as well as serve many different flavors of gelato and cakes. The classy and relaxing interior is a wonderful refuge to get away from the summer heat and I highly recommend you stop by.

40 Beach St., Boston, MA 02111

The Blue Frog Bakery, Jamaica Plain

Recognizable by the giant blue frog statue hanging on the front of the building, the Blue Frog Bakery is a Jamaica Plain based bakery. They sell many classic baked goods like cookies, sourdough bread, baguettes, croissants, and brownies that are all delicious. It is a small shop but their hospitality and amazing baked goods will leave an impression on you that is anything but small.

3 Green St, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130

Tradesman Coffee Shop and Lounge, Boston

Tradesman Coffee hop and Lounge is an eatery that, along with their wonderful coffee menu, provides a variety of food choices. Whether you are in the mood for a sweet treat like their scones, cookies and gourmet croissants or crave something more filling from their unique sandwich menu, there are numerous options for you to choose from. The space they have created is something they pride themselves on; it’s a warm and comforting environment that will leave you refreshed and wanting to visit again.

58 Batterymarch St, Boston, MA 02110

Nine Winters Bakery, Cambridge

Nine Winters Bakery is a unique bakery that serves a Korean inspired menu with cakes, milk breads, cookies, and more. They have both breakfast and lunch options as well as high quality coffee and various other drink choices. Serving both sweet and savory goodies, they run an inviting restaurant providing food for anytime of the day.
