Birria that drips, tacos that crunch and a burrito you’ll dream about later: Taqueria Jalisco in Orient Heights, MA., does not hold back.

The new Taqueria Jalisco opened its second location on June 23, expanding from its original home in East Boston. This new spot quickly gained attention, not just for its authentic Mexican flavors, but for its vibrant, photo-ready atmosphere. With multiple aesthetic backdrops perfect for a social media, it wasn’t long before the restaurant started trending on TikTok.

As soon as you walk in, you are met with a turf wall and bold red letters that read “Taqueria Jalisco Boston.” The seating area pops with color: bright yellow chairs are flush against walls with an array of painted blue, pink and red flowers. Brown patterned tile floors add to the restaurant’s charm, giving the place a cozy, welcoming feeling that makes you want to stay a little longer after your meal is over.

But the real star here is the food.

The birria tacos come with a crunchy tortilla, crispy on the outside and packed with slow-cooked beef on the inside. Served with a warm cup of consomme for dipping, each bite of the birria taco juicy and full of flavor.

The burritos are just as good, stuffed with rice, cheese, a meat of your choice and sauces that all melt together. The order is served on a brown, almost traditional-looking plate that adds to the authentic Mexican feel and makes the dish stand out even more.

The Birria tacos are served golden and crisp, alongside traditional toppings like pickled onions, radishes lime and fresh cilantro — perfect for customizing each bite!

You can also grab drinks like sweet Horchata, fruity agua frescas and colorful Jarritos. Everything is served in a way that is photoready for social media stories, which is part of why it’s been blowing up on TikTok.

The spot already has a 4.5-star rating online, with lots of happy reviews according to Yelp.

Great new place in East Boston! Felt upscale without paying the price for it,” said Yelp User under the name Rosanna Lograsso Doucette.

Many customers mention how satisfied they were with both the food they received and their experience. The servers are friendly and attentive, consistently checking on their guests to make sure everything is going well.

This new location is not just a second spot; it is a full experience. Between the food, the vibe and the welcoming service, it’s easy to see why people keep coming back. Whether you are craving birria or just want a fun place to hang out, Jalisco in Orient Heights is worth the trip.
