REVIEW: KATSEYE’s 2025 Concert in Boston
KATSEYE’s concert at MGM Music Hall in Boston on November 19th, 2025 wasn’t just a regular concert, it was a true performance. From the mere moment the lights turned off, the group controlled the stage with confidence that has been developed through years of training — something you could tell wasn’t rushed. What most people expect me to say is that the choreography, the visuals, or even the vocals stood out to me. But the real thing I was drawn to was the chemistry between each and every member.
One of the main things KATSEYE is known for is their choreography. Their choreography is just so catchy yet simple to learn. It makes it hard for you not to just simply want to imitate their moves. They’ve trended many times due to their fun choreo on songs like “Gnarly” and “Gabriela.” A fun little addition that I like when they’re on tour is that they extend some of their choreo, depending on how popular the song, into a break-dance version which is usually harder and more complex to make up for the fact that they don’t sing live during that part of the show. That choice is extremely captivating and really does pump up energy. Honestly, it’s one of my favorite concerts that I’ve ever been to and really made it a night to remember.
Next, we have the visuals of the show. I went to the Boston show, so I can only speak about that specific performance; however, what I can say is that it was immaculate. There was a giant screen behind the group that was used like a jumbo-tron which had small effects below the actual video. This added to the effects of the overall show, giving it a kinda rave vibe. The effects differed from song to song, but it was most memorable for songs like “Gnarly” or “M.I.A”, which had a lot more sound effects than others – adding to the party vibe and the aesthetic of the overall show.
The vocals were interesting in a good way. What I mean by that is that it very much depends on the song and if you are a KATSEYE fan you know exactly what I mean. Some of their songs aren’t very vocally inclined, like “M.I.A.” However, some of their songs had amazing vocals that genuinely had the crowd screaming — songs like “My Way,” “Touch,” and Lara’s vocal rift at the end of “M.I.A.” While not every song of theirs is vocally inclined, the majority of them are and the ones that definitely sounded perfect. Especially when you take into account that they’re dancing while also singing live, so that just also adds on to their amazing performance abilities. Seeing them on Dream Academy and seeing how some of them really struggled with dancing and singing to now being able to do amazing dance moves while still being vocally stable is really impressive and shows their growth.
Lastly, I’d like to shout out the chemistry between members, as they seem so close and beyond being bandmates. During the show, they all interacted and genuinely just seemed to love being in each other’s company. It added to the concert in a positive way that couldn’t be described in the way most concerts are judged. It was something that went beyond choreo or vocals or even visuals. It was something that made the concert seem personal and just made it where I fell in love even more with them. It really pushed the idea and theme of sisterhood and friendship in a way I’ve never seen in other artists.
The concert was great, but I did not like its location. MGM Music hall wasn’t the best option. I feel like while everyone was close to the stage, the people in the bottom corners of the hall had 50% of their vision blocked by the balcony above us. It made it really hard to see the screen and made us feel a little down and bummed that we didn’t get to see more. In the future, HYBE x GEFFIN should definitely pick a different location for a tour stop in Boston.
Overall, the concert was amazing. It made me love KATSEYE even more, and, honestly, I can’t wait for the next concert. I would definitely 110% recommend anyone who loves KATSEYE to go to their next show. They’re all such amazingly talented artists who have great concerts. So, when they do go on tour again, you should be the first to buy a ticket and attend.
