Practice makes perfect
I’m currently watching my mother prepare sushi, and I’ve decided that I want to try it out. The first step is preparing the ingredients and cutting the veggies and meats. Then distribute the rice evenly onto the seaweed, along with the cooked salmon and veggies. Next, roll it up and cut it.
I try to make the next roll, which goes accordingly until some of the ingredients slip out as I cut. To make matters worse, the cuts aren’t ideal since some of the pieces are larger and the sides are more slanted. I was slightly upset at the overall failure. But I tried again, and nothing fell out of the next roll I made, although the cuts still weren’t perfectly straight. I made a few rolls after that, and the cuts only got better. I learned on this day that practice makes perfect.
