My top six zombie movies

Zombie movies have always been staples of the horror genre. They pack a punch and can get you scared, thrilled, or maybe even make you laugh. This sounds interesting, right? But if the real question lurking in your head picking any kind of movie is, “Which one should I watch?” don’t worry! I am here to give you a rundown on the top six zombie movies to watch!

1. “#Alive”

The movie “#Alive: follows the main character, Oh Joon-Woo, who has to find a way to survive an outbreak. Just like us, he is quarantined at home and is taken by surprise once the apocalypse starts. He meets a friend during his time of survival and together, they fight for a way to make it out alive. Overall, this movie takes a great hit at trying something new. The movie is set in a time period like ours and executes things perfectly.

2. “World War Z”

Investigator Gerry Lane and his family are experiencing what at first seems like a normal day until they find out that the world is transforming into hell as the day progresses. Gerry Lane uses his previous connections to keep his family safe and works to find a cure for the zombie virus. As you watch this movie you are going to be entertained — for me, not one part of this movie is boring.

3. “Night of the Living Dead.”

This is a series of amazing movies. Each and every one of them go into detail. “Night of the Living Dead” was ahead of its time! If you want to watch a classic zombie movie then this is it. “Night of the Living Dead” painted a path for every zombie movie we see today. Fun fact — it inspired the creation of “The Walking Dead,” one of the most popular zombie shows today. You can never go wrong with the classics!

4. “Train to Busan”

“Train to Busan” is an emotional story. This movie shows how people can change given their circumstances. It builds its characters, and it doesn’t scare as much. Instead, viewers build an understanding of the characters and become more emotionally attached. You learn a lot from “Train to Busan” — the most interesting thing about the movie is the main character’s relationship with his daughter, and how much it changes given their situation.

5. “28 Weeks Later”

“28 Weeks Later” is a very scary zombie movie because it shows what a real-life zombie virus could look like. We see a man abandon his wife from the very jump of the film, and that doesn’t even begin to showcase the horrors of this movie. You will watch this movie and learn that you are going to have to make difficult choices if you’re in a similar situation. The main character shows that you have to make difficult choices when trying to survive a zombie-like situation.

6. “ZombieLand”

“ZombieLand” is an amazing movie! It plays a part in both comedy and action and adventure genres. You will be laughing while watching this movie —  it’s more like a zombie movie that you will enjoy. Something I liked while watching this movie was the characters and the comedic scenes. I also liked how the main character would set rules for survival. If this already sounds interesting for you, get ready for a ride full of laughter and suspense. “ZombieLand” is for you.
