Devil

Devil

You stand,

Shrouded,

In your cloak

Of lies,

Not perceiving

Its presence.

I make out

Your form,

Behind the dark

Cloud,

Feigning

To see right

Through.

The stench

Of your devilish mind

Fills the air,

Yet I

Ignore it.

I’m in deep,

Knocking

At your heart’s

Door,

Knowing it could

Destroy us.

Day after day,

I hold together

My tearing heart,

Praying

For a miracle,

Wishing that

Tomorrow,

You will

Hear me louder

Than ever.
