A strange night of pizza and ‘2K’

Hi, my name is Firaf and I am just an average eighth grader at Brooke. Well that’s what it seems on the outside. Of course not everything is regular for Firaf out here. I am a well-suited person on almost everything I do only, in some circumstances. This story takes us back to 2019. I was hanging out with both of my friends and we were home alone. HOLD UP — don’t start saying, ”But, Firaf, you’ll get in trouble.” This was my prime time so I knew everything, thank you very much. But as I was saying, I was in my friend’s house just playing “NBA 2K” and he ordered pizza. It was all chill ‘till we had to wait for the pizza guy. I asked him why we couldn’t  just make food; there was good stuff in the fridge. My friend said, “Nah, unless you wanna burn my house down I’m fine with pizza.”

We laughed and we waited. Time passed by and we got some pizza. But the guy freaked me out a bit. I didn’t think much of it so we just got our pizza and started chewing on it like wild beasts. Yeah, you might be thinking, Wow you have no manners, but, come on, I had no lunch so this was a full course meal. As we waited more, the guy didn’t move his car and it seemed as if he was stalking us. I was like, “No, it can’t be him.” But then I  saw the uber sign. This felt like a horror story.

I get it, he might have just been done with his shift or maybe he was checking on something but nothing seemed right. Thirty minutes passed by and this guy still was in the parking lot outside of the house. I was so scared that I didn’t hear the sounds of the reporter on “2K” talking. And if you know me, you know I LOVE “2K.” So my friends just kept on playing. After almost another 30 minutes the guy would not budge. I was so scared that I thought we were about to be bombed. Man forgot about Primetime. I’m outta here. But then he came out of his car. I was ready. I practiced punching the air — I did karate before. And then he came, but then, made a right. What? I thought he was going through the back door but he was still not there. And then our parents came home and I was relieved. My friend told his mom about Uber Eats and how he ordered a pizza. And then she said, “Did Dave give it?” Then he said yes. WAIT WHAT?
