What was your goal? (To the lover that lost me)

Give me back my time and love that I spent

All my ideas and words you bent

I gave you my mind and soul

What was your goal?

To swoon me

Then use me?

Take my trust

And wait until it turned to rust?

You took your time

Made sure you were mine

You let me fall

Didn’t answer when I called

Made me love the shade of blue

I couldn’t break through.

Why?

What was your goal?

To break my heart

Put it on your chart?

You had your turn

And now my eyes burn

How could you put her first

I thought I quenched your thirst.

Was I not enough?

I didn’t see through your bluff

I wish I wasn’t in love with you

I wish I wasn’t in love with you

I wish

I wish.

I see clearer now

I duck cupid’s bow

I Think before I love

I push and I shove

I’m learning

Learning to trust

Your memory is now dust

Thank you for the lessons you gave

I hope you filled your crave

Just one question

And it’s the end of this session

What was your goal?

We could’ve had it all

But what did you want

You wanted to flaunt

But then you wanted nothing at all
