Waking up with the sunlight hitting my face

“Get up!” it says

I do

I get ready not so eager

I want the day to end I want to go back to bed

I try to carry myself to eat

I try to smile, but it’s just too soon

I want to stay home and lay in bed

Then all these wild thoughts keep hitting my head

“Stay home!”

“No, go!”

I’m conflicted so I listen

I try to carry on with the day

I go outside and stare into the trees
Then I hear a GUSHsssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhh

The wind howls in my face

I run

I drop my hat and run back

I get the hat and try to keep it on

The wind makes a huge Whooooooooooooooooooooooosssssh

I look up and take in a big breath

I hope that I can make it

I wish to make in time for class

Will I?

I run

I need to breathe, but it’s just too late

I hop on to the train

It Zoooomsss out immediately

I am way too tired to stand

Except there no seats!

I want water

I want food

I want to sit

But I get none of that

I make it in time for class

Take a seat

Close my eyes and take a deep breath

I am ready

I am ready  for what comes next
