Global Impact of Trump’s Unnecessary War with Iran
The US’s war with Iran is having a bad impact globally. It is hitting people’s daily lives very hard.
Gasoline and Electricity Prices Are Going Up

We should be more aware of what our President is doing and how it’s impacting our country and globally. Now let’s say the real thing: have you noticed that the gasoline price and energy bills have gone up? Well, that’s because our current President Donald J. Trump has started a war with Iran which now controls the Strait of Hormuz. This waterway, between Iran and the United Arab Emirates, is where 20%-25% of the world’s total oil leaves from. Every country’s oil travels through here to get to where it needs to go.
Usually, over 20 millions of barrels of oil would be passing through the Strait of Hormuz but since Iran’s navy took it over gasoline and diesel prices have gone up. This also impacts electricity and food restock at stores because gas is the principal supply for electricity. If the gas price goes up, so does the price of electricity in the USA, Europe and Asia. Food in supermarkets will take a while to be restocked, because diesel is what restock trucks use to ship the food items to our favorite stores like Stop & Shop and Walmart.
Illegal and Unnecessary War
This war where the United States and Israel are against Iran is illegal and unnecessary.

It is illegal, at least in the US, because this is a country of democracy where the president or one single person doesn’t have total power to do whatever they want. Our constitution says we have 3 branches of the government: the Legislative (makes laws); Executive (enforces laws); and Judicial (interprets laws); which divides the power in our democracy. This means the executive (president) is not actually allowed to go into a war without the permission of the legislative (congress) so this means that this war is unconstitutional, which is another way of saying illegal.
It is also unnecessary because the main reason why this war started was because supposedly Iran had a nuclear weapon. The thing is that it hasn’t been confirmed that Iran had any actual nuclear weapons, so the main reason for the war wasn’t true at all which in my opinion makes this war unnecessary.
People’s Disapproval About the War

Many Americans are in disagreement with this war and the Trump administration’s military actions. More than 50% percent of Americans are against the war with Iran and just 37% agree with the war. This shows that more than half of Americans are against the war. One of the reasons is when the elections were happening our president said that he will stop all these ‘forever’ wars and look now we are! Starting one of those wars for a reason that hasn’t been confirmed. This is putting many American soldiers in danger and increasing gasoline and electricity prices for all of us who aren’t fighting.
