Throughout your life, you’ve probably noticed many situations that could be improved, but why doesn’t it change? The reason it doesn’t change is because people aren’t active. An example of this is the government system in Brazil. There, the president favors criminals over innocent people, and the government is robbing old people! You can hate him as much as you want, but one thing is for sure: nothing is going to happen by hating him. Because people aren’t active, it will cause the situation to worsen, and being active is a way to combat this, and it makes the situation better. When reading his article, you will be encouraged to be more active in your community and start to make the world a better place

Imagine your city’s roads are wrecked and horrible to drive on. Every time you drive on it, your car gets damaged. You’re probably gonna be mad at the government since it’s its job to fix it. If you were to be active, you could message the governor and get his attention. After this, the governor will most likely fix the road. This simple act allows for good changes to come to the community, and it allows people to search for long-term solutions so problems will be less likely to occur.

Being active will help you develop new bonds and build a community. Consider this: if a person is happy, then the person next to them will most likely be happy too. It’s contagious! And being active does the same thing, too. Another example is if you’re in a protest. You’re protesting because you’re concerned about something, and the other person is too. If you start to talk to the person about ideas to solve the problem, you’re probably going to make a bond with the person. Once this active community unifies, it makes other people want to be active, and it will build a powerful community that is able to solve problems.

Now that you’ve considered activism good and contagious, you probably will want to know why it makes a better environment. Think about this: you live in a dangerous town and constantly call the police, but they don’t show up, you’re going to be mad and scared. With your neighbors, you can launch a protest at the police station. If big enough, it will cause the police to be more present since they’re going to be in the spotlight. Your community will feel much safer after this. This illustrates that being active will bring good changes and result in a better environment.

The impacts of activism are far-reaching, including bettering your community and environment. Activism can make communities closer and more successful at a local and national level. It allows you to make connections, grow as a human being, and ultimately live a better life. I hope that you can be more active and, as a result, make a positive and long-lasting change in your community.
