“Dv4d,” also known as David Anthony Burke, is a popular singer and songwriter. David is 20 years old. He lives in Houston, Texas. He became famous in September 2022 on TikTok with his single “Romantic Homicide,” and then in 2025 he became associated with the murder of a 14-year-old girl. He is currently not in police custody. I am going to tell you about how this rumor started, all about the case so far, and some thoughts on if he is guilty or not guilty.

The Case

There’s a case going on of a singer artist “D4vd” also known as “David Anthony Burk,” who happened to have a dead, dismembered, and decomposing body of a 14-year-old teenage girl named Celeste Rivas Hernandez in the back of his Tesla. It was sitting in a parking lot for 2 days. The rumor escalated quickly since Dv4d is a popular artist. Towards the end of 2025, in September, news went out and said that the LAPD was called because of an awful odor coming from a vehicle that had been sitting in the parking lot for several days. The vehicle was identified as belonging to Dv4d. There are tons of screenshots and evidence that he and this teenage girl have known each other since 2021 and had been talking to each other a lot. The police never took David in for questioning because there was lack of evidence. The LAPD did a search warrant at the place where David was staying in Hollywood. They took electronics and other things that can be used to find evidence.

Livestream Evidence

Things you see on the internet are not always true or right because things can be different when off camera or figured out. People thought nothing was wrong, they thought that David was just a normal, kind-hearted artist when they met him at concerts or in their real lives, but when everything about this case got leaked, people were shocked because they never thought he could be like this behind the cameras. The news spread like crazy through TikTok and everybody was shocked that a dead teenage girl was in the back of his Tesla. There was a live stream back in 2024 before Celeste went missing. During the live stream, there was this part where David said, “I media-trained you.” Celeste said, “No, you didn’t.” Dv4d said, “That’s controversial.” Celeste then said, “It’s controversial to r*pe kids.” After Celeste said that David was saying to end the stream and delete it afterward, but that didn’t do anything because some people had clipped it already and started sharing it. People on Discord started saying things about Dv4d liking minors. It didn’t seem to mean anything at first, it was just a rumor, but ever since Celeste was found it has made some more sense.

Rumors Coming and Going

After a few months of the news spreading around, the rumors got quieter because people just started to forget about it, and there wasn’t any new information. But there are still people and the police trying to figure out if Dv4d murdered Celeste or if he didn’t. The case is still ongoing. This has impacted his career because people stopped listening to his music and stopped supporting him. When his fans heard the rumor, they were shocked because they never knew David could be a person involved in scandal. The screenshots that showed people in a Discord server saying David liked minors are just speculations; none of the speculations were confirmed as true. There were also no files being charged, so the police and court couldn’t say much to the public. Celeste’s family filed a few reports of their daughter being missing in 2024. When they found out their daughter was dead, they were heartbroken and started a GoFundMe for people to help donate money to help them pay for the funeral. Her brother posted on Instagram saying that they were searching for her when she went missing, and now that she’s gone, he said that their home now felt quiet and different without Celeste.

In conclusion, the case of Dv4d and Celeste is still under investigation, and there is no confirmed evidence that David is guilty. The screenshots and other things people online have found as “evidence” of Dv4d being guilty are just speculations and rumors, which is why the situation became quieter because the information hasn’t been confirmed yet. Since the information hasn’t been confirmed, people have slowly forgotten about it. But until the police release any new information, the case is still under investigation, and whatever happens will remain unknown to everyone, even Celeste’s family.
