Bad Guys 2 Movie Review

*Spoiler Warning: There will be spoilers in this article*

The Bad Guys have now turned good? In this fictional world of Wolf and his team, the “Bad Guys,” are now turning good after a chain of events in “Bad Guys 2.” Or so we think.

After “Bad Guys” the audience were left with Wolf and his team being arrested. Wolf had realized that being bad wasn’t always going to work out and turned himself and the team in.

At the start of the second movie, we see Wolf going in for a job interview to try and become good. It was a shock for me and I enjoyed watching this turn around. Wolf and his team apply and go to multiple interviews but because of their history of being the Bad Guys, they are sadly declined from working there due to the employers being uncomfortable having them there.

As the movie progresses, new characters are introduced. Snake gets a new girlfriend, Susan, who isn’t who she seems at first. Susan is better known as “Doom” as the movie progresses, and is part of the Bad Girls. I thought this plot twist was amazing to watch, the sudden switch from girlfriend to being part of the Bad Girls was awesome.

Bad Girls is run by Kitty Kat alongside Doom, and Pigtail. They frame the Bad Guys to get away with their heist for the MOON-X rocket to steal the world’s gold. They blackmail the Bad Guys to join them and get away with this heist, and at first they seem to be successful. The Bad Girls successfully steal the watch from Mr. Moon, the director and founder of MOON-X, during his wedding.

Once Wolf obtained the watch to give to Kitty Kat, she tricked them and the Bad Guys were in a predicament to be released.

The Bad Girls blackmail the Bad Guys and threaten to upload a video that reveals Diane, the Governor, as the Crimson Paw. The Bad Guys try to stop the upload of the video but are sadly unsuccessful in doing so and the video is released to the world.

This scene in the movie held so much tension and suspense. I was sitting on the edge of my seat hoping that Wolf could stop the download of the video. The music really adds suspense to it too.

Diane is now being criticized by the world and people are now out to get her for stealing the artifact, a plot point from the first movie.

Diane visits professor Marmalade in prison, where he was left in the last movie, and asks him about the Bad Girls and their plan to steal all the gold in the world.

Scene from “The Bad Guys 2.”

Professor Marmalade’s appearance in this movie really changed the feel of the movie. The change of his character from the first Bad Guys movie was unexpected and showed how now he was willing to help Diane. Not only that, but he also ratted out Kitty when Marmalade told Diane that Kitty visited him before Diane.

The Bad Guys, including Diane, shown at the end of the film as secret agents. Sourced from Screenrant.com

Diane flew over to the MOON-X launch site and was able to get onto the spaceship. The Bad Guys, being behind Diane, had also attempted to stop the Bad Girls. The suspense from this scene and the tension it held was like a “life or death” situation. When the Bad Guys tried to get on the ship they had encountered issues in it and had left me on the edge of my seat. Were they going to die? Were they going to successfully get onto the ship?

All these questions were answered minutes after watching the scene and it continued to become more interesting.

Diane and the Bad Guys were able to get onto the ship safely and were able to fight off and defeat the Bad Girls. This fight scene was interesting and intricate with the animations. It was vivid, fast, and suspenseful.

Not only was that tension interesting, but the tension between Wolf and Diane was also suspenseful. From being friend-zoned to romantically together, their tension progressed throughout the entirety of the film.

From their romantic scene to showing their “death” and the Bad Girls being caught, many twists and turns happen in the last few minutes of the movie.

Overall, the movie was great. There were many laughable moments in the film and many plot twists. This was a memorable movie and it has been announced that the director of these movies might be coming out with a Bad Guys 3. It hasn’t been confirmed yet but there is a chance of there being a third movie coming out. And hopefully the director decides to continue on with this idea because I enjoyed watching both Bad Guys and Bad Guys 2.

This is definitely a good movie to watch for family nights and/or hanging out with friends. It’s family friendly and is an amazing movie overall.
