Forgotten Memories

A distant memory, vague in my mind.

A silent story, left behind.

I heard that the universe is aligned,

So why is it, my thoughts are undefined?

Ever since covid, started affecting mankind,
I’ve had not much time to unwind.

It seems my thoughts are confined.

But when will they be unbind(ed)?

‍

Seasons‍

It seems so strange.

Warm and cold are exchanged.

But can these two be interchanged?

‍

Niagara Falls

Raincoats, worn all around.

Rain gently falling, it surrounds.

Thundering water from the falls.

Almost as if they were crumbling walls.

Rainbows high in the sky.
And in the corner of my eye,

I watch as birds fly by.‍

‍

Our Destination, The Sun

The journey is done.

The battle is won.

It was not fun,
But we have reached the sun.

And we have outdone.
Anyone and everyone.

We are number one,

For we have reached the sun.

‍

Today

What is today?

Is it the day after yesterday?

The day we felt the sea spray?

It could be the day we heard a bluejay.

Is it the day we saw the sun’s rays?

The day we touched the milky way?

Perhaps the day we rode on Santa’s sleigh?

Today is not a holiday.

It might be the day my work is displayed.

I don’t know what day it is,

but I hope I don’t have to write an essay.
